Qualcomm's Matching Grant Program:
Purpose:
The Matching Grant Program encourages employees to contribute to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recognized non-profit organizations by providing matching funds.
Scope and Eligibility:
This policy applies to all regular employees.
Policy:
QUALCOMM provides grants to match tax-deductible employee contributions to IRS recognized non-profit organizations. The grant matches each dollar contributed by an employee on a one-for-one basis up to the following maximum amounts:
All Employees: $1,000 per fiscal year. Director and Above, Principal Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer: $5,000 per fiscal year
Note: The fiscal year limit for part-time employees is pro-rated based on the number of hours worked per week. For example, if a manager works 20 hours per week, she will have a matching grant limit of $500.
QUALCOMM will match tax-deductible donations per fiscal year to a maximum of ten qualified charities. Matching grant limits are applied on a fiscal year basis. Donations will be matched by QUALCOMM in the fiscal year in which the donation was made. Please submit all receipts to Corporate Giving by September 1 of each year for matching in the current fiscal year.
NOTE: There is no form needed for submission of a matching grant-only the receipt for your donation is needed to make the match.
