If you are new to cycling or just new to the BikeMS event, this is the best place to start.
The first place you need to begin is to decide on a bike to ride during the event. If you are like me, the last bike you purchased was in school, or earlier. If you have not purchased or looked at bikes in the last ten years you will be amazed and confused at all the options you have now.
The Bike MS Tou is 30, 100 or 150 miles on a paved surface and you need to have the right bike. If your bike doesn't fit or isn't capable of going the distance, you won't be able to enjoy the ride. To complete your journey, it's necessary to have the right equipment

The next thing you need to get is a helmet. You MUST have a helmet to ride in BikeMS event or participate in our training rides. Also remember if you are under the age of 18 it is the LAW that you wear a helmet at all times (properly strapped). If you have a helmet that is older than 5 years or has been dropped from a height more than 3 feet, or has been involved in a crash you should dispose of it and obtain a new one. Helmets are designed to take an impact exactly once and will break down over time.
